1st RACE (149) THE ASPIRANT HANDICAP – A
Handicap for Horses Rated 60-85, Rated 40-65 eligible (About) 1600 Metres
(1.15/1.18) : 4 runners
Tr.
Vikash Jaiswal when afforded an opportunity to explain the running pattern of
his charge b g MISSION CHIEF, stated that he had instructed the Jockey be
positioned 2nd/3rd in the early and middle stages of the
race, however, he (the jockey) was at
liberty to lead the field in the early
and middle stages, if circumstances
permit. These instructions had been
consistently given to every rider in the gelding’s earlier races.
2nd RACE (150) THE STARRY FLAG HANDICAP –
A Handicap for Horses Rated 00-25 – To be ridden by Jockeys of Indian
Nationality (About) 1100 Metres (1.45/1.48) :
13 runners
ch
c SNIPER (M Krishna) was fractious while being paraded in the paddock, reared
up and fell dislodging its rider.
Subsequently the horse and the jockey was examined by the respective
Doctors and permitted to proceed to the starting gate.
GOLDEN
SQUARE (N S Parmar) and
GENTLE JEWEL (Vinay Jaiswal) was fractious in its stall .
PEPPERMINT
(App Ravi Singh) which was fractious in its stall and SILKEN SENORITA (App
Zarar Alam) planted losing considerable ground at the start. In view of their behaviour Trs. Rodrigues
(Jr) and Patrick Quinn were informed that the Starting Stall Certificates have
been revoked by the Starter on their respective charges..
Jockey
Shailesh Shinde, the rider of IJLAL, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/- for
excessive use of the whip on his mount (1st offence).
3rd RACE (151) THE ATTORNEY PLATE – For
Horses 3 years old only (About) 1100 Metres (2.15/2.25) : 8 runners

CALYPSO GIRL (I Khan) which was fractious in its stall dislodged its rider
before the start was effected, broke loose and galloped around the course. Under the circumstances the filly was
withdrawn with the permission of the Stewards before coming under Starter’s
orders. The Starting Stall Certificate
of the filly has been revoked by the Starter.
COLONEL
BOOGEY (A M Tograllu) was slow to begin.
IMPRESSIVE
WIN (Deep Shanker) was slow to begin and ran detached in the early stages of
the race. In view of its performance Tr.
Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to
accept with his charge until passed fit by the Starter in a Barrier Trial during
the hours of morning track work.
4th RACE (152) THE YARGO HANDICAP – A
Handicap for Horses Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible – To be ridden by Jockeys
of Indian Nationality (About) 1600 Metres (2.45/2.50) :10 runners
GIRL
OF FLOWERS (Surjeet Singh), STALKER (App Zarar Alam) and BIG OLD MAN (B Mahesh)
were slow to begin.
5th RACE (153) THE
Approaching
the distance post REGAL CLASSIC (Vinay Jaiswal) making progress on the outside of ANGELO (Sk Israil) was
eased by its rider when inconvenienced
by STAR SYMPHONY (Aadesh Kumar) which,while making progress shifted
‘inwards’. At a subsequent enquiry
Jockey Aadesh Kumar was shown the CCTV replay of the race and severely
reprimanded for making no attempt to keep his mount on a straight path.
6th RACE (154) THE WANDERING ANGEL
HANDICAP – A Handicap for Horses Rated 40-65, Rated 20-45 eligible – To be
ridden by Jockeys of Indian Nationality (About) 2000 Metres (3.45/3.46) : 9
runners
Jockey
Vinay Jaiswal, the rider of SEA OF KISSES galloping along the rails, reported
that his mount was inclined to lean ‘inwards’ approaching the 1600 metres of
the race.
Jockey
P Trevor, the rider of ch f ARABICA, when afforded an opportunity to explain
the running of his mount stated that he was instructed to be positioned 3rd/4th
and to do his best in the straight.
However, on jumping out of the gates his mount was “very keen” and despite
his attempts to rein the filly back he was unable to do so hence
he decided to finish off the race with a
‘start to finish’ mission. After viewing
the CCTC replay of the race, the Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanation.
7th RACE (155) THE MEMORABLE DAY HANDICAP
– A Handicap for Horses 5 years old and over, Rated 40-65, Rated 20-45 eligible
– To be ridden by Jockeys of Indian Nationality (About) 1200 Metres (4.15/4.16)
: 9 runners

(Deep Shanker) was denied a clear run in
the concluding stages of the race due to a closely packed field.

1. Random
testing for the presence of alcohol in respect of Jockeys A M Tograllu, Deep Shanker, Surjeet Singh and App Ravi
Singh was carried out and found to be clear.
2. Urine samples. Urine samples from the following
horses were taken for clinical analysis :-
