FLAMING LOVE (Afzal Hossain) was slow to begin.

h TIGANA (Russell Xaviers) jumped awkwardly from the
gates unbalancing its rider and lost many lengths. In view of its behavior Tr. C Gleich was informed not to accept with his charge until
shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.
SUGAR ‘N’ SALT (M Mark)
repeatedly brushed against the false rails from about 1000 to 800 metres.
RIVER WARRIOR (Md. Imran) brushed against the false rails approaching the 900 metres.
Approaching the 400 metres OCEAN DANCER (App Mohit
Singh) making progress along the rails was checked by its jockey and lost some
ground due to the crowding of the field.
Jockey S Rabbani, the rider of b m SEACHANGE, when afforded an
opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that he was instructed to be
positioned 5th or 6th in the early and middle stages of
the race and thereafter to do his best. However,
the mare was slow into its stride and in spite of his efforts the mare could
make no progress. On questioning, Tr. Bharath Singh could give no plausible explanation for the
poor performance of his charge. The
Stipendiary Stewards while noting the explanation of the jockey, informed Tr. Bharath Singh to ensure that his charge is capable of a
better performance before accepting with it again. The mare was impounded for veterinary and
analytical examinations. On examination
the Veterinary Officer reported that no ailment was noticed.
Jockey S Rabbani, the rider of SEACHANGE, was fined a sum of Rs.
1,000/- for excessive use of the whip on his mount (1st offence).
2nd RACE (65) THE ALLAYING HANDICAP – A Handicap for Horses
Rated 60-85, Rated 40-65 eligible (About) 1800 metres
(2.00/2.00) : 4 runners
When the start was
effected dk b g DANTE ROSSETTI (N S Parmar, drawn 2) planted and took no further part in the
race. The Starting Stall Certificate of
the gelding has been revoked by the Starter.
3rd RACE (66) THE ALTIMARA HANDICAP – For Maiden Horses 3
years old only, Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible – To be ridden by Jockeys of
Indian Nationality (About) 1400 Metres (2.30/2.32) :

g SUPREME CONQUEROR (P S Chouhan) which was very
fractious in its stall reared up and fell down.
Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn with the permission of
the Stewards before coming under Starter’s orders. The Starting Stall Certificate of the gelding
has been revoked by the Starter.
On jumping out of the
gates EROS (M F Ali Khan) failed to raise a fluent gallop for some
distance. Tr. D M David was informed not
to accept with his charge until passed fit in a barrier trial held during the hours of
morning track work.
SECRET ATTACK (Nelson Maseyk) drifted to the outer portion of the race track
approaching the 400 metres.
SADDLERS PRIDE (App Mohit Singh) drifted to the outer portion of the race track
approaching the distance post.
4th RACE (67) THE SUN BIRD HANDICAP – Div I – A Handicap for
Horses 5 years old and over – Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible – To be ridden
by Jockeys of Indian Nationality (About) 1200 Metres
(3.00/3.05) : 8 runners
BASKERVILLE (Pradeep
Kumar) refused
to raise a fluent gallop soon after jumping out of the gates and ran detached
from the field in the early and middle stages of the race. In view of its behavior Tr. R Gowli was informed not to accept with his charge until
shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.
App Vikash Tamang, the rider of
AGNATION, was reprimanded for allowing his mount to drift ‘outwards’ in
the final 400 metres of the race.
5th RACE (68) THE SUN BIRD HANDICAP – Div II – A Handicap for
Horses 5 years old and over – Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible – To be ridden
by Jockeys of Indian Nationality (About) 1200 Metres

g RISE ABOVE ALL, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the
Veterinary Officer on the morning of
TINTORETTO (App Mohit Singh) jumped out awkwardly from the gates.
TEMPTATION (M Mark) was
slow to begin.
Passing the mile marker ASIAN
ROCKET (Neeraj Rawal) was
checked by its rider when HAPPY PRINCESS (M Maseyk) shifted
‘inwards’. Jockey M Maseyk
was severely reprimanded for shifting ‘in’ when not adequately clear of the
other runner.
Approaching the 600 metres LET HER DANCE (App Vikash Tamang) making progress along the rails lost some ground
when checked by its rider to avoid clipping the heels of EARL OF WARWICK (Vinay Jaiswal).
7th RACE (70) THE BEST OF ALL HANDICAP – A Handicap for Horses
Rated 80 & above, Rated 60-85 eligible (About) 1400 Metres
(4.30/4.31) : 10 runners
SWAHILI (App Rajesh Ujgare) and CAIRNDHU (N S Parmar)
were slow to begin.
Approaching the 900 metres ADRIANO (Neeraj Rawal) had to be checked by its rider and lost some ground when
BRIEF ENCOUNTER (App Mohit Singh) shifted
‘inwards’. At a subsequent enquiry App Mohit Singh was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined
a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for shifting in when not sufficient clear of the other
runner.
MISSION CHIEF (P S Chouhan) brushed against the false rails approaching the
800 metres and stumbled.
SWAHILI (App Rajesh Ujgare) ran detached from the field. In view of its performance Tr. D M David was
informed not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary
Stewards in a mock race.
8th RACE (71) THE GREAT SCOT HANDICAP - A Handicap for Horses Rated 40-65, Rated
20-45 eligible (About) 1100 Metres (5.00/5.05) : 12

Jockey I Khan, the rider of OPTIMUM PRIDE,
was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/- for the indifferent handling of his mount in the
final 400 metres of the race.
b f MANDIRA (Afzal
Khan) was eased by its jockey before passing the winning post and dismounted. On returning to the unsaddling enclosure the
filly collapsed due to cardiac failure.

testing for the presence of alcohol in respect of Jockeys N S Parmar and P S Chouhan
was carried out and found to be clear.
