1st RACE (125) THE ARABIAN ROSE TROPHY –
A Handicap for Horses Rated 40-65, Rated 20-45 eligible (About) 1200 Metres
(12,00/12.05) : 8 runners
CEE
FOUR (App Vikash Tamang), WHISTLING STRAIT (App Ajoy Roy), ALIENATION (N S
Parmar) and STAR WAGER (Md Imran) were
fractious while being stalled thereby delaying the start of the race. Their respective trainers were advised to
give their charges adequate gate practice before accepting with them again.
WHISTLING
STRAIT (App Ajoy Roy, drawn 4) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ and inconvenienced AXIOLOGY
(App Zarar Alam, drawn 5).
App
Vikash Tamang, the rider of
CEE FOUR, reported the loss of whip approaching the 400 metres.
2nd RACE (126) THE XISCA TROPHY - A Handicap for Horses Rated 40-65, Rated
20-45 eligible (About) 2000 Metres (12.30/12.33) : 8 runners
Prior
to the running of the race Tr. D Byramji
informed the Stipendiary Stewards that he had instructed Jockey Neeraj Rawal,
the rider of ch g ASIAN ROCKET, if circumstances permitted, to place his charge
at the head of the field. The
Stipendiary Stewards while noting the trainer’s instructions informed Tr. D
Byramji that the running pattern of the gelding would be closely monitored and
advised against the repeated change in the same.
SEA
SHOWER (Aadesh Kumar) was fractious while being stalled.
Approaching
the 800 metres AERATOR (App Ajoy Roy) shifted ‘inwards’ and bumped against COMBINED OPERATION
(Shailesh Shinde).
Approaching
the 400 metres ASIAN ROCKET (Neeraj Rawal) travelling along the rails was
checked by its rider and lost ground when COMBINED OPERATION (Shailesh Shinde)
was carried ‘inwards’ by AERATOR (App Ajoy Roy) which was making progress on
the outside. At a subsequent enquiry Jockeys
Neeraj Rawal, Shailesh Shinde and App Ajoy Roy were interviewed and it was
established that App Ajoy Roy failed to exercise sufficient control over his
mount and was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for the lapse and cautioned to be more
careful in future.
3rd RACE (127) THE BRAVE DANCER TROPHY – For
Maiden Horses 3 years old only (About) 1400 Metres (1.00/1.06) : 8 runners
MISTLETOE
(I Chisty) was fractious while being stalled.
MALAHIDE
(Aadesh Kumar) which was fractious while being stalled,
was slow into its stride and did not raise a fluent gallop in the early and
middle stages of the race. In view of
its performance Tr. Bharath Singh was informed not to accept with his charge
until shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.
4th RACE (128) THE ROMANTIC DANCER TROPHY
– A Handicap for Horses Rated 60-85, Rated 40-65 eligible (About) 1600 Metres
(1.30/1.36) : 6 runners

5th RACE (129) THE CHIANTI TROPHY – For
Horses 3 years old only (About) 1200 Metres (2.10/2.15) :
9 runners
dk b f MOONLIGHT LADY was examined by the Veterinary Officer
before the race and was found to be lame on right fore. Under the circumstances the filly was
withdrawn with the permission of the Stewards before coming under Starter’s
orders. Tr. Bharath Singh was informed
not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
HUNDRED
PIPERS (N S Parmar) was fractious in its stall.
HADDOCK
(I Chisty) and ZIP ZAP ZOOM (Vinay Jaiswal) were slow to begin losing
approximately two lengths at the start.
Jockey
Neeraj Rawal, the rider of FRAGRANCE trained by Mr. E Bhungard, was fined a sum
of Rs. 2,500/- for presenting himself late to the Clerk of the Scales at the
time of ‘weighing-out’ which led to the late arrival ch f FRAGRANCE to the
parade ring. Jockey Neeraj Rawal was
informed that he had been spoken to on a number of occasions regarding his
lackadaisical attitude and had even been fined on a previous
occasion for the same. The Stipendiary
Stewards further informed him that should he continue to delay proceedings of
races run under the RCTC Rules, he would be reported to the Stewards with a
recommendation for appropriate strong action.
An
enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of HUNDRED PIPERS, ridden
by Jockey N S Parmar and trained by Mr. Rutherford Alford.
6th RACE (130) THE EVEREADY
Jockey
P Trevor, the rider of PEDIGREE NICK, reported that some distance after the
start the saddle used on his mount shifted forward and thereafter he was unable to ride
his mount to complete advantage. Tr.
The
Veterinary Officer reported that ALEXANDER returned lame on left fore. Tr. Shafiq Khan was informed not to accept
with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
7th RACE (131) THE ABS FABS TROPHY DIV I
– A Handicap for Horses Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible (About) 1200 Metres
(3.20/3.30) : 9 runners
At
the request of Tr. Shyam S Habbu, deputizing for Tr. P Shroff, b c CONSENSUS,
an acceptor in the above race was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the
morning of
As
Jockey Afzal Khan was declared medically unfit to ride, Tr. R Gowli was
permitted to substitute Jockey M Maseyk to rider his charge HOT IRON.
Approaching
the 600 metres HEADLINER (Daniel M Grant) making progress on the rails was
checked by its rider when BORN TO RACE (P Trevor) shifted ‘inwards’. Jockey P Trevor was shown the CCTV replay of
the race and severely reprimanded for shifting ‘in’ when not sufficiently clear
of the other runner.
8th RACE (132) THE ABS FABS TROPHY DIV II
– A Handicap for Horses Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible (About) 1200 Metres
(3.50/4.08) :9 runners
At the
request of Tr. F A Rodrigues (Jr) ch g SECRET SPARK,
an acceptor in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on
Passing
the 600 metres EBONY PRINCESS (M Krishna) travelling along the rails was
checked by its rider, bounced off the inner rails and lost ground when FOCUS
(Carlos Henrique) shifted ‘inwards’. At
a subsequent enquiry both jockeys were interviewed and shown the CCTV replay of
the race. Jockey Carlos Henrique accepted that he may have had momentarily
shifted ‘inwards’ and hence was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for the lapse.
In
the concluding stages of the race ASHWA PRABIR (I Chisty) and DIVINE SPLENDOR
(Shailesh Shinde) under pressure made contact with each other.
9th RACE (133) THE PA BEAR TROPHY – A
Handicap for Horses Rated 60-85, Rated 40-65 eligible (About) 1200 Metres
(4.20/4.40) : 6 runners
At
the request of Tr. D M David ch g SUPERIOR QUEST, an acceptor in the above
race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on
At
the request of Trainer Ms. Arti Doctor, b g MESMERIZER was examined by the
Veterinary Officer before being paraded in the paddock and was found to be lame
on right fore. Under the circumstances
the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor was informed not to
accept with her charge until passed fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Jockey
I Chisty, the rider of KINGDOMOFDREAMS, reported that his mount was inclined to
run out through out the race. Tr. D
Byramji was advised to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting
with his charge again.
G E N E R A L
1.
Random
testing for the presence of alcohol in respect of Jockeys Gajender Singh, J
Gurung, Ajay Roy, Carlos Henrique and I Chisty was carried out and found to
be clear.
2.
Urine samples.
