KAMAKAZI (M F Ali Khan) and
SHESASTAR (App Vikash Tamang)
were slow to begin.
Jockey R Marshall, the rider of ch g THREATONE, when afforded an opportunity to explain the
running of his mount stated that his mount which was well positioned in the
early stages of the race gradually dropped back to the rear of the field. He opined that there was something amiss with
the gelding’s action. The gelding was
impounded for veterinary examination and on examination the Veterinary Officer
reported that no ailment was noticed.
Mr. Nikhil Punna,
Assistant to Tr. D R Byramji was informed not to
accept with the gelding until shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary
Stewards in a mock race.
App Vikash
Tamang, the rider of SHESASTAR, was reprimanded for travelling wide while rounding the bend for no apparent
reason.
Passing the distance post APRIL
EDITION (Imran Khan) under pressure drifted to the
outer portion of the race track.

STALKER (Md
Islam) jumped
awkwardly from the gates causing its
rider to momentarily loose both his
stirrup irons.
Approaching the 400 metres OCEAN MYTH (Md Imran) travelling along the rails
was inconvenienced when XAVIER (App Vikash Tamang) repeatedly shifted ‘inwards’. App Vikash Tamang was shown the CCTV replay of the race and cautioned
to be more careful in future.
An objection was lodged by App Mohit Singh, the rider of PERSERVERANCE placed 2nd against
App Vikash Tamang, the
rider of XAVIER placed 1st by the Judge on the ground of “at the
distance post the winner crossed me when my mount was full of running causing
it to break its rhythm and thereafter it came with a strong re-run and the
interference cost me a certain race”.
The Stewards after having interviewed both the apprentices, viewing the CCTV replay
of the race and taking into consideration the opinion expressed by the
Stipendiary Stewards, resolved to up-hold the objection and ordered to revise
the Judge’s placings as under :-

3rd RACE (89) THE ZEENEE HANDICAP – For
Maiden Horses 3 years old only, Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible – To be
ridden by Jockeys of Indian Nationality (About) 1200 Metres
(3.00/3.09) : 7 runners
There was a heavy rain fall before
the start of the race.
ZAKIYAH (Vinay
Jaiswal) was fractious while being stalled.
Approaching the 600 metres NOBLE DEFENDER (C Alford) was checked by its rider
and lost some ground when running into the heels of ZAKIYAH (Vinay Jaiswal).
App Mohit
Singh, the rider of STAR SUCCESS, reported that his saddle shifted back passing
the 400 metres and that the incident did not affect
his riding. The Stipendiary Stewards advised Tr. Jasbir Singh to be more careful in future with respect to
the saddling of his charges.
Jockey D K Ashish,
the rider of ARDENT N GRACEFUL, was fined a sum of Rs.
1,000/- for excessive use of the whip on his mount (1st
offence).

CREDIT SWAP (B Mahesh) was slow to
begin.
AVON CREEK (App Mohit
Singh) kept an erratic course in the final 400 metres
of the race.
The Veterinary Officer reported that
ACCESSOR returned with a bleeding cut injury on its right fore.
5th RACE (91) THE BHISHMA TROPHY – A
Handicap for Horses Rated 80 & above, Rated 60-85 eligible (About) 1100 Metres (4.00/4.08) : 6 runners
Tr. Vikash
Jaiswal was fined a sum of Rs.
2,000/- for failing to obtain the prior consent of Jockey Dashrath
Singh to declare him on his charge ADAMARIS.
Subsequently, the trainer was permitted to substitute Jockey D K Ashish in place of Jockey Dashrath
Singh.
THUNDERING HOOVES (App Mohit Singh) was fractious while being stalled.

Shinde, the rider of ZILLIONAIRE (drawn 6), was
reprimanded for shifting ‘inwards’ soon after the start.
6th RACE (92) THE VAGABOND HANDICAP - A
Handicap for Horses Rated 40-65, Rated 20-45 eligible (About) 1100 Metres (4.30/4.37) : 6 runners

PILOT, an acceptor in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on
RITHAMBHRA (App Mohit
Singh) reared up at the start and lost some ground. Tr. Jasbir Singh
was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it
again.

Tamang, the rider of ROYAL DANCE, was reprimanded for
allowing his mount to drift ‘outwards’ during the final stages of the race.

GIOCOMETTI (D K Ashish) returned to the unsaddling
enclosure with severe “dyspnoea” (difficulty in
breathing). In view of its physical
condition Tr. C Gleich was informed not to accept
with his charge till shown to the satisfaction of the Veterinary Officer in a
600 metres speed trial during the hours of morning
track work.
7th RACE (93) THE BOLD RAIDER HANDICAP –
A Handicap for Horses Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible – To be ridden by
Jockeys of Indian Nationality - (About) 1100 Metres
(5.00/5.05) : 9 runners
Jockey R Marshall, the rider of
OCEAN CLIPPER, was severely reprimanded for coming ‘in’ soon after the start
and inconveniencing GENEROSITY (App Vikash Tamang). Further he
was informed that should he ride in similar manner in future, he would be dealt
with appropriately.
Approaching the 400 metres Jockey Pintu Das, the rider of GLENBERVIE which was travelling
along the rails was observed to having tried to elbow Jockey Ryan Marshall
(OCEAN CLIPPER) who was making quick progress on his outside. At a
subsequent enquiry the jockeys were shown the CCTV replay of the race and
Jockey Pintu Das was informed
that he should ride in such a manner that no infringement of Rules of Racing
takes place.
G E N E R A L
1. Random testing for the presence of alcohol in respect of Jockeys B Mahesh, D K Ashish, Dashrath Singh and M Mark was carried out and found to be clear.
2. Urine samples. Urine samples from the following horses were
taken for clinical analysis :-
