GLORY (App Mohit Singh) and LEONIDAS (Afzal Khan) were slow to begin.
Jockey
Gajender Singh, the rider of ROYAL COUNTY DOWN, was
fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/- for failing to improve his position between the 1000
and 400 metres of the race and for travelling wide
while rounding the bend for no apparent reason.
The
Veterinary Officer reported that SUAVEMENTE returned with a cut injury
on left hind.
2nd RACE (122) THE ALTERNATOR TROPHY – A Handicap for Horses
Rated 40-65, Rated 20-45 eligible (About) 1200 Metres
(2.15/2.16) : 4 runners
At
the request of Tr. Patrick Quinn, b g CEE FOUR a declared starter in the above
race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of 30th
September, 2011 and found to have developed painful swelling on right
fore. Under the circumstances the
gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
Tr. Patrick Quinn was informed not to accept with his charge until
certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
IMPERIAL
DELIGHT (Suraj Narredu) was
fractious while being stalled.
Tr.
Vikash Jaiswal when
questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge b g ACCARDO as
compared to its previous run in Race No. 104 run on 21st September,
2011 where it finished unplaced, stated that
Race 104 was after a gap of
approximately seven months and since then his charge had made some progress. He further opined that today’s improved performance
was enhanced due to the unlucky run of his competitor and course favourite IMPERIAL DELIGHT but for which his charge would
have placed 2nd. The
Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanations.
3rd RACE (123) THE DESERT SHOT TROPHY – A
Handicap for Horses Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible (About) 1400 Metres (2.45/2.50) : 11 runners
b g RISE ABOVE ALL was fractious and refused to be
stalled. Under the circumstances the
gelding was withdrawn with the permission of the Stewards before coming under
Starter’s orders. The Starting Stall
Certificate has been revoked by the Starter.
b c ALPINE COUNT (M Mark) planted and took no practical part
in the race. The Starting Stall Certificate of the colt has been revoked by the
Starter.

4th RACE (124) THE ALICE SPRINGS TROPHY –

AAMAR
KAKU (S Domingo) was slow to begin losing approximately three lengths at the
start and thereafter ran detached from the field. In view of its performance Tr. Javed Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until
shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.
Approaching
the 600 metres AXIOLOGY (Vinay
Jaiswal) attempting to make progress between ABRONIA
(Shailesh Shinde) and
KING’S DESIRE (App Mohit Singh) was squeezed for
room.
Jockey
N S Parmer, the rider of MUST BE MAGIC, reported that he lost his whip
approaching the final 300 metres of the race.
5th RACE (125) THE STEWARDS’ TROPHY – For
Horses 4 years old and over (About) 1400 Metres (3.45/3.50) : 6 runners
CLEAR
MANDATE (Shailesh Shinde)
jumped awkwardly from the gates.
Jockey
Md. Islam, the rider of SAMARKHAND, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/- for
excessive use of the whip on his mount (1st offence).
An
enquiry has been opened into the excessive use of the whip (3rd
offence) by App Mohit Singh on his mount REGAL
CLASSIC. The result of the enquiry will
be announced later.

6th RACE (126) THE
Approaching
the 800 metres SECRECY (Suraj
Narredu) was eased by its jockey when momentarily
squeezed for room due to a tightly packed field.
7th RACE (127) THE STEAL THE GLORY TROPHY
– A Handicap for Horses Rated 20-45, Rated 00-25 eligible (About) 1000 Metres (4.45/4.48) : 10 runners

explain the poor performance of her charge ch f
SONGSTRESS (Shailesh Shinde)
in this race as compared to its previous run on 24th September,
2011, stated that while she could give no plausible explanation for the
performance, informed that she had instructed the jockey to take the filly on a
start to finish mission and on her questioning, the jockey stated that in spite of his best
efforts he was unable to lead the field at any stage. Jockey Shailesh Shinde when questioned corroborated the instructions and his
statement of the filly’s performance to the trainer. Tr. Ms. Arti
Doctor was advised to keep the filly under observation and report ailment, if
any.

1. Random
testing for the presence of alcohol in respect of Jockeys Afzal
Khan, Gajender Singh, B Mahesh and Deep Shanker was carried out and found to be clear.
2. Urine
