The Stewards, Royal Calcutta Turf Club, in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing have decided to postpone the scheduled date of the Sixth Day of the Calcutta Races, Spring Meeting from Tuesday, 28^th February, 2012 to Thursday, 1^st March, 2012.

Final forfeits will now fall due at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, 27^th February, 2012.

Consequent to the cancellation of Fourth Day of the Calcutta Races, Winter Meeting, scheduled to be held on 17^th January, 2012, the following changes have been made in the Prospectus of the Calcutta Races, Cold Weather Season 2011-2012 :-

 

a)                  The Pearson Surita Memorial Trophy scheduled to be held on 17^th January 2012 will now be held on 14^th January, 2012 with same terms and conditions.

 

b)                  The racingpulse.in Trophy scheduled to be held on 17^th January, 2012 will now be held on Saturday, 21^st January, 2012 with same terms and conditions..

 

c)                  The Vijay Sicka Memorial Trophy scheduled to be held on 17^th January, 2012 will now be held on Saturday, 21^st January, 2012 with same terms and conditions..

 

d)                 The Eastern Command Trophy & The Lt.Gen Jhameel Mahmood Memorial Trophy scheduled to be held on Saturday, 21^st January, 2012 have been postponed to a later date.

PRESS RELEASE

 

It is hereby notified that due to inclement weather, the  Stewards, Royal Calcutta Turf Club, in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing, have decided to postpone the Calcutta Races, Winter Meeting, Second Day, scheduled to be held on Sunday, 8^th January, 2012 to Sunday, 15^th January, 2012.  The  card for 15^th January, 2012 will remain same as framed for 8^th January, 2012, however,  fresh declarations of Jockeys will be held  for the races to be conducted on 15^th January, 2012.  Patrons are advised that Entry Badges for 8^th January, 2012 will be valid for the races to be conducted on 15^th January, 2012.

 

Further, the Stewards have decided to cancel the Fourth Day of the Calcutta Races, Winter Meeting scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 17^th January, 2012

NOTICE TO TRAINERS

 

Trainers are hereby informed that henceforth only the 1^st placed horse/s will be  unsaddled in the paddock  enclosure and the other placed horses will be unsaddled with the remaining unplaced horses until further notice.

 

Trainers are also advised to inform the Jockeys/Apprentice Jockeys about the new procedure to be followed.
